* Contestants must be residents of Curwensville Area School District.
* Tiny, Little, Junior and Teen Contestants must be enrolled in CASD grades K-12 for the 2009-10 school year to be eligible.
* Miss Contestants must be 2006-2009 CAHS graduates to be eligible.
* A non-refundable $15 entry fee is required for ALL contestants. Checks can be made payable to the Curwensville Days Committee.
* All contestants must submit two (2) head shots (school photo, etc.) with their entry. Photos are used for publicity, Web site, and judge's book.
* Tiny and Little Contestants are required to draw a picture on 8 1/2 x 11 paper that describes their favorite part of Curwensville Days. A short description of the drawing must be writte on the BOTTOM of the drawing. Crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, etc. may be used. The contestant's name should be placed on the BACK of the drawing. Names that appear on the front will be disqualified.
* Tiny and Little Contestants should wear a dress for the contest., such as a church dress or one worn for a holiday or special occasion. (For example, a Christmas dress.) NO GOWNS.
* Junior, Teen & Miss Contestants must submit a typed or written one-page essay that answers:
"Why I want to be Miss Curwensville Days"
* Junior Contestants may choose to wear a dress OR a gown.
* Teen and Miss Contestants will wear gowns/prom dresses.
***ALL CONTESTANTS MUST WEAR APPAREL
THAT IS AGE-APPOPRIATE!!!***
* Winners will be required to make appearances throughout the remaining Curwensville Days celebration, and other appearances at events throughout the year as requested by the Curwensville Days Committee.
* If for any reason the winner cannot fulfill her year long obligation or is asked to step down for any reason, the crown is returned and the 1st runner-up will be crowned.
* Winners need to return in 2010 to crown their successor.
APPLICATIONS, ENTRY FEES, PHOTOS AND ESSAYS/DRAWINGS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY July 1, 2009.
LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
